I don't think Sentai's had a decent looking mecha since Time Robo Alpha. Gaoranger started that whole fugly making a whole animal a body part thing, and then it became the clusterfooks.
Land Galaxy's cool! Live Boxer's the lamest of the '80s mecha, IMO. Goggle Robo's pretty dumb looking, too.
I'm not much of a fan of any of the 80's mecha, but ChangeRobo and Flash King both grew on me 'cause their cockpits were so cool. The actual drawings annoyed me though.
Personally I prefer mecha from 1992-2005. 1981-1991 they're too blocky. 2006-up they're too bulky. I DO hate the whole mecha's mouth-as-hand thing though.
The scans I saw were several different translation groups, it looked like. 46 looked like it had been posted fairly recently, so is there a group/person that is still doing them, or did it get stalled?
What chapter is that again? When I think of Spirits I just think of how often ZX himself gets owned! It's basically the most literal deconstruction of a character I've ever seen, continually blowing him up or tearing him to bits and then building him back up, each time becoming closer to what he's destined to become. Or are you talking about the scene where he fights the guy who turns into all the other Riders?
I don't think that chapter's been translated yet, because I don't remember that happening, and I've read all the ones currently available in English...
