Well, granted we've told him that over and over. Considering he thinks of his game reviews and pitch videos as legitimate parts of his resume, he probably thinks he doesn't need practice.

It'd be nice if he changed that tune though. Experience is the best teacher and all that.

Yes it is. Because he's got to have love for the craft of filmmaking. Filmmaking is fun. Jared enjoys it, and I enjoy it whenever I can. And I have all sorts of ideas I want to express, be it fan-made or original. It's just not enough to have simply pitches and reviews.

Otherwise, I wouldn't be doing experimental stuff like this:

One of the proudest moments of my life. So much that I'm inspired to do more filmmaking, animating, experimenting, original stuff, and eventually, a new Rekira video! You could say, I'm a renaissance man. And I couldn't be more proud to be one.

It's a show called The Mighty B!, and it aired on Nickelodeon from 2008 to 2011. (It was canceled in 2009 by Nick.) The show was created by Amy Poehler (who voices the main character, Bessie Higgenbottom), Cynthia True, and Erik Wiese. IMHO, this is the best series on Nick since Ren & Stimpy (and is very R&S-like, right down to using library music!), and one of my favorite cartoon shows ever! I was pissed at its cancellation, but I wasn't surprised. (Nick loves cancelling anything that isn't Spongebob Squarepants or iCarly.)

So I was tempted to make that above animation as one of my many fanservices for the series. Plus, I'm a big fan of classic Paramount/Famous Studios cartoons (pretty much all of which were done in NYC). And I thought it was a good combination!

So do I. I love typography.

As mentioned in a previous post, I want my fonts to look appealing and consistent. That's part of the formula for good work.

After this long (I'm counting about 2 years now maybe?) of nothing made or to show for it I don't think he'll get anything done.

Also it seems kinda weird to ask for another grand. Where did that first grand go? :sly:

He's only officially been in production on GKaiser for a few months and even if it HAD been two years, I couldn't really blame him. Sorta 3's been in production for that long too! Films take time - ESPECIALLY quality independent tokusatsu.

Hell, Rekira has been in development for 20 years! (It's undergone many changes through the years, because I am really, really thinking about this.) Plus, for indies like us, we get sidetracked by a little thing called "real life." So many real-life things that are putting a hex on my project! And you cannot believe how anxious I am to get this project done!

As for the money... I won't comment because I don't know. :|

If you all are wondering what ever happened to jfreedan, well he's busy stalking and flagging down his haters comments/videos (parodies/commentaries/rants) on youtube for harassment/hate speech/copyright, basically giving all youtube partners a bad name.

All because he called someone a racist for using the term JRPG, as well as getting various well known youtubers accounts suspended/terminated.

Yeah, I'd heard about how Carey Martell's ego had ballooned to even more massive proportions as he united the internet against him. It's pretty hilarious.

And man, I'm so sad he never answered my filmmaking challenge a couple of months ago. I posted it directly to his Youtube page and then he promptly blocked me. Then he released that making of GKaiser video that was... well, the actual footage from the film looks terrible amateurish for all his pretty decent equipment. Such a waste of good gear.
