HD DVD on PS3

There is this movie I wanted to get in HD, called Dead Silence. There is no Blu-ray out and no plans for a Blu-ray release at this time but it was released in HD DVD. Do HD DVD's look at good as Blu-rays on screen and can the PS3 play HD DVDs?.

As far as I know, it can't play HD DVDs. I could be wrong, but Xbox 360s were the ones that played HD DVDs and PS3s were the ones that played Blu Rays.

360 couldn't even do it without buying an attachment.

HD DVD players should be dirt cheap if you can find one now, though.

Yeah, HD-DVD is obsolete - it didn't sell and is discontinued. So if they have no plans to release it on Blu-Ray, quite frankly they're idiots.

Well if you have either a plasma TV or LED TV, and your PS3 is connected to it via HDMI, you can watch the standard DVD version of Dead Silence on your PS3 and it will look almost as good as if it were on Blu-ray.
