Has anyone ever had this happen? (Dream related)

I'll have a nightmare and then I'll wake up to find myself barely able to move or talk. There's like this paralyzing force. I'll try to get someone's attention but will end up waking up again in my bed to find that I dreamed the whole thing. The weird thing is sometimes I have to wake up several times before I'm actually awake.

Once I'm finally awake I know it because I just feel tired and end up going back to sleep. Thing is if I don't roll over or move around a lot, I'll end up going back into the same cycle. It's almost like you're trapped in a nightmare and just when you feel like you've escaped you're pulled back in. It's pretty scary actually.

Has anyone else ever had this happen to them?

It never happen to me during a nightmare, but I do have instances where I'm awake but can't move. I think that's normal, because my grandma used to go through the same thing.

My dad once explained it as demons jumping on you.

Woah...

Not making fun of you but... Thats like a movie...

I've had this happened to me before.

I would have a weird dream (I always have odd and weird dreams, its hard for me to have a dream about what I want to dream about lol) doing something...then I would wake up laying there, weird things going on and then I actually wake up.

I find myself barely able to move when I wake up. It definitely felt like a paralyzing force. But, it's not from nightmares that I remember dreaming.

Gone through that before myself, just recently to boot. I've been told by my folks to just sleep on my side and start an aspirin regimen before bed time because "You're getting old."

What that has to to do with freakish dreams or nightmares is beyond me lol.

The good old sleep paralysis. I get those once and a while. My way to deal with it is, if I'm sleeping on my side, try to flip out of bed. And just keep your breathing calm.

I too am in that situation twice.

Like back then, 1st!

I dreamt that I was in my bed and then I walked and walked in it, then I woke up and found myself in a locker room full of Americans and the locker room looked like an American-looking. I went to the point that, I woke up to the real world after that.

As for the second one is too long that I can no longer remember.
