Gundam Unicorn the Movie announced

Argh, looks like we won't see a Gundam Unicorn movie then.

Yeah, I just found that out myself. But there still may be hope. I'm still hoping for that Gundam SEED movie! Also, how does the name for the next Gundam series sound, Kidou Senshi Gundam Blade? The main Gundam can be called Blade Gundam, following the same fashion as other Gundam series, where the main Gundam is named after the title of them, such as Wing Gundam being named after Gundam Wing. By the way, awesome video Dark Kabuto! I'm so happy! Mecha is the best!

The SEED movie is on hiatus until the head writer finishes dealing with cancer.

On the 00 Movie: Jupiter was shown in the first season. It's where Nena's purple Haro came from, so there had to be at least on manned mission out there. The movie will probably be about what happened to the Celestial Being that went out there.

It's where the GN drives were created, the ending of 00 suggests that additional ones have been made since then probably by whoever survived there on Jupiter likely to act as an opposing side to Celestial Being in the movie.

Read Gundam Unicorn, that and Crossbone Gundam have been stated to be the best the Gundam franchise has to offer. The fans have been wanting both to get animated for the longest of times. Much more than any generic Seed movie which will probably be cookie cutter and consist of solely fanservice.

I'm enjoying the story and all, but let's be honest with ourselves...Unicorn = UC fanwank.

No denying that, but it doesn't mean its any less good. It'd still be good even if it was standalone.

You have a point, then lets take out the fanservice aspect, Unicorn is still quite good while the Seed franchise is still pretty lackluster. Judging from happened with Seed and Seed Destiny its safe to have low expectations for the Seed movie and expect a cookie cutter story with weak unfleshed out characters and characterization.
