[Anime] Gundam Build Fighters

Honestly, the completed Amazing Exia looked better than Dark Matter.

I hope they make a MG of Amazing Exia.

Yeah the original colour scheme flows a little bit better and makes it feel like an ELS infected Exia.

I do hope they make an Amazing Exia too, but looking at the design and what the Dark Matter comes with it wouldn't to hard to make your own. You'd need to get rid of the foot spikes and swap the V fin and faceplate.

I'm a bit pissed of that, with all the cool abilities shown during this episode, the last couple of fights for SBS have been nothing but RG System fisty cuffs.

If there is gonna be a second season, we'll have to wait a while for it, since G-Reco is going to be the next Gundam thing in the Fall of this year.

Hopefully by then the 2nd Season 00 suits and AGE suits will join in, alongside some Unicorn ones and most of the A Wakening of the Trailblazer MS too.

I don't really mind that. If anything, one comment I'm going to lay on the (amazing) builds of the show is Star Build Strike itself. For a unit whose ultimate trump card is a melee attack(from what I understand, RG system only extends to SBS's limbs and none of the weapons), I don't see why Sei bothered to put so much guns on it and not just make SBS a close range unit. I think it would be cool for the protagonist of this show, a show partly about customizing combat mechs, to use an extreme close-range Gundam, with a fighting style of "charging in full-tilt and hits you over the head" rather than a speedy unit with over-sized guns. Or maybe a speedy unit who hits you over the head.

True. I'm looking at it from a slightly different angle, though.

Sei said he built for Reiji. Reiji is proficient with guns and fencing as he is with fists, but I think Sei, being the kid that he is wanted to show the world a Gundam that was as much his as it was Reiji's. It has a remote weapon (the Universe Booster) supporting primarily melee combat, which from what we've seen of Sei piloting the Mk. II, was primarily Sei's style. The SBS wasn't a suit he built for Reiji, it was a suit he built for himself, and Reiji just so happens to be the most eligible candidate to pilot it.

When Takeshi chose a Gundam for Reiji it was Beginning, a suit that definitely showcases Reiji's abilities more.

Sei maybe a great builder, but he definitely has room to grow.

Apparently, the 00 S2 broadcasting rights are still with a different TV channel. Therefore, Sunrise can't broadcast those suits/animate those suits on their current channel. In other words 00 S2 won't be in Gunpla Build Fighters. I dunno about AGE though. But I could be wrong haha...don't quote me.

00 and AGE both aired on the same network. Build Fighters was the first Gundam show since Turn A to not air on TBS and MBS. It's most likely due to the season gap between 00S1 and 00S2 that the contract for 00S2 onward had not run out yet.
