Guitar Hero 3 tracks announced:

* Paint It Black (by The Rolling Stones) HELL YES
* Cherub Rock (by Smashing Pumpkins)
* Sabotage (by Beastie Boys) KICK ASS!
* The Metal (by Tenacious D) TENACIOUS D! WOOHOOOOO!
* My Name is Jonas (by Weezer) NICE!
* Knights of Cydonia (by Muse)
* Rock And Roll All Nite (as made famous by Kiss) HELL YES!
* School's Out (as made famous by Alice Cooper) DOUBLE HELL YES!
* Slow Ride (as made famous by Fog Hat) EXCELLENT!
* Cult of Personality (by Living Colour) AWESOME!
* Barracuda (as made famous by Heart) YEAAAAAHHHHHHH BARRACUDA FTMFW!!!!!!!11!111eleven1!!!!

Other major points:
-coming out for the PS2, PS3, 360, and Wii
-all systems will get wireless controllers with removable/customizable faceplates
-new features: battle mode, downloadable content on multiple platforms, and boss battles. ....BOSS BATTLES?!?

I will so be getting this for the Wii.

And this is kind of old by now, but Guitar Hero 80's Edition is official now for the PS2:

Seven songs out of the total 30 have so far been announced, but they run the genre gamut. It will feature "as made famous" covers of "Round and Round" by Ratt, "I Want Candy" by Bow Wow Wow, "Metal Health" by Quiet Riot, "Holy Diver" by Ronnie James Dio, and "Heat of the Moment" by Asia. It will also sport two original tracks: Flock of Seagulls' "I Ran" and "I Wanna Rock" by Twisted Sister. The game will also feature retro rock venues, unlockable guitars, and a variety of "intense" gameplay modes.

All I can say is they'd better have Van Halen's "Hot for Teacher" in there. "Let's Go Crazy" by Prince and "Fight For Your Right" or "No Sleep 'til Brooklyn" by the Beastie Boys would be, ahem, totally awesome too. Only 30 tracks; I hope they lower the price point, as it's more of an expansion pack than anything else.

Color me psyched.

I'll probably get it for my PS3. It's been sitting there for a while. I've pretty much used it to watch Den-O lately. This might make it active more.

Her alternate from GH2 was perfect. If they want to do that to one of the girls how about Pandora
