It is, after the fact. The gold WW across the chest was modeled after a logo on the flight jacket of Steve Trevor's mother, Diana, who crashed landed on Themyscira decades before she was born.

Well it was basically designed to be. It loses a little context when you take the character out of the World War II era she was created in and her original origin story.

However it's one of the most iconic costumes in comics and I think it works. In the hands of the right artists she looks awesome in it and I'm not just saying that because she's a jaw-droppingly attractive woman in a costume that shows some skin either. I think it's just that they've never found a good way to explain the motifs it has for her modern incarnation. I think you could get a good story out of that.

Yeah, they've never really changed the motif for any huge length of time, except for that cheesy black outfit from the William Messner Loebes/Mike Deodato era. John Byrne made some minor alterations during his time on the book with a larger tiara, bigger bracelets and belt and only drawing two stars on the bottom half of the costume. And of course the minor tweaks she has now.

Batman, the dude doesn't have a life other then fighting crime. I remember reading about batman only and not bruce wayne. I always get tired when I buy a spiderman or superman comics where they're arguing with their wives, dealing with their powers, etc.
