Tech Google is going Facebook style!

This could be interesting, I'm intrigued to see how this would turn out. However, I really doubt that this will be a real threat against facebook. I feel as though this might come to bite google in the butt one way or another but I could be wrong. This might work but I don't think it'll rival facebook that much.

There are mixed reactions on this. Some news sites are saying that is not the true news. As in desktop interface won't be changed. But the mobile interface will have some feeds. I think they already rolled it out for many countries. And there is search at the top and the feed at the bottom. That's something one has to consider as well.

Does it really need to do this? What is the point? Google already has a huge chunk of the market and I don't see them closing shop anytime soon. They have all the right tools and resources available to introduce any kind of service or platform they want. I think they are modeling Facebook because they know people don't like things to change. By giving people something similar, something they are used to, this allows them to gradually ease into changing whole structures.

Google is a decade too late to enter the game. People will stick to Facebook because it's easier, since they've used it for years. I think Google would be better off improving their other products or finding something new to focus on.
