Gokaiger; Goseiger - 199 Hero Great Battle - Discussion Thread

Mikoto was revived because of the villain of the movie -- he was trying to revive Dezumzorya, but got Mikoto instead.

To be precise, the guy wanted to revive "the strongest", hoping for Dezmozoria. Then he was all like "you're not Dezumzorya!", followed by "you want the strongest? You got it". Not the precise lines, but yeah, awesome.

Brajira gives the impression that he has changed, not that he's an entirely unrelated person.

Yeah, my argument was more, "He's just a different version of the character for the film who won't act exactly the same as the TV one did," rather than "The characters are unrelated." The latter argument would make absolutely no sense at all given the film's narrative.

Well if Burajia wasn't controlled, he would of back stabbed Black Cross... you know this is the truth

Just rewatched the movie and noticed a couple of things:

-When they show a close-up of the opened treasure box of Keys (after/around the Super Sentai Bazooka scene), the ones on top are all of the guest stars of the movie (Denji Blue, Big One, Dyna Pink, etc.) One of the visible Keys is Red Falcon, who was rumored to be in the movie and replaced at the last minute by Kenta Satou's Riki/Red Turbo. (A Key that wasn't visible on top? Red Turbo.)

-Project.R's Hideaki Takatori is among the crowd cheering during the final fight. Who else could be lurking in the background of that scene?

-Rina Aizawa has no lines in this movie!

Saw it last night finally!

I enjoyed it, really loved the extended Legend War and the fights between the goseiger and gokaiger.

what really got me was the ending robo battle, I'm just a sucker for giant fights.

my one real and minor complaint was when the two teams fought against the spirits of the previous teams, i felt that it dragged on a bit to long.

all in all, it was a pretty fun movie.

Nice observation on the Ranger keys!

ShinkenGold is also not at the top, although Red Racer, KiRanger and most importantly Red Falcon are visible.

About the crowd, apparently the salaryman, and another 2 actors seem pretty prominent (real life-wise) to be interviewed in the Making Of in the bonus disc. Any idea who these 3 people are and their significance?

Rina Aizawa has lines. She spoke a line or two after the Legend War to the Goseigers.

Thanks! And all these while I thought the salaryman was just an extra with more lines than some of the returning sentai alumni...

I take it that since you are re-watching you enjoyed 199?.

I liked it, I just think it would have been better if it was made a little later into Gokaiger's production. It was made fairly early on, when the show was still finding its footing.

And edit out that fight with the 33 teams! It's sooooooo boring! Just when you think it's done, up pops a group of Pinks or all the sixths and then Goranger.

Thanks for getting a screen-grab! Also, in the Legend War, they added new scenes spotlighting the movie's guests (Goggle Black and Denji Blue were fighting together, for example; there's a quick shot of Red One and Red Falcon together, while Red Turbo had the same scene from the first episode.) I dunno, I'm pretty much going to take this as confirmation that Daisuke Shima was supposed to be in the movie.

It would be nice if they found a spot for him in the finale or the final battle, but if he left the movie on bad terms...
