She's another "bait and switch". Whenever we're promised a tough female character she inevitably goes crazy over some man (Sakura), is relegated to the background (Ran), ends up acting like a girly-girl anyway (Moune) or trades on cheap sex appeal (Luka)

Your going into detail with the wrong person, because you and I apparently see the series from different perspectives. I just see it as an entertaining children's show with rubber monsters and spandex, but you see it as something deeper. I don't think too much into plot holes, or character development.

This is why I usually don't engage in general discussion.

It's not so much what is intended as the messages kids get - whether or not those messages were deliberate
