Going Out Of Town

Hey y'all, I'm getting ready to head out to New York for a few days, so if you don't see me around the board or don't get a reply to your PMs or whatever, just keep that in mind. I'll be back most likely sometime Sunday night or Monday afternoon. For you guys that live in or frequent New York, what are some places I should check out (aside from all the cliche tourist spots) and maybe get a good bite to eat? I mean places that are really cool, not "oooh-aaah" hops like Ground Zero.

What's taking you to NYC?

Pleasure trip with some friends that go a lot. This will be my first time there, so I'm pretty excited.

Coming to my hometown, awesome. Have fun, NYC is a pretty cool place but filled with douchebags and people with attitude problems.

The only place I can recommend is the comic shop in Manhattan.

And I'm back! Had a great time, stayed smack in the middle of Times Square and got to visit all the major tourist traps, and also managed to hit up some of the quality local spots, like Midtown Comics, Forbidden Planet, and had some amazingly sextastic chow at a couple hole-in-the-wall places. I'm a little dizzy from jetlag, but couldn't be happier with the experience. Even though I'm glad to be back home, it was an awesome time and I anxiously look forward to going back in the future.
