Godzilla Final Wars Talkback *spoilers*

As a Godzilla flick, Final Wars passes the test, but it's unusually sub-par as a Kitamura film; I was disappointed. He's got a good, definitive style, but there's some things certain genres don't need (like wakazashis and leather trenchcoats), and Kaiju definitely doesn't need them.

The battle between Zilla and Godzilla was the best part of the movie, and the song that was playing while the 2 zillas were fighting was really priceless. I mean, they played Sum41's song, We're all to Blame, how funny was that? :laugh:

lol I know. Makes you wonder if they were trying to pass along a subtle message about the American Movie. "Take everything left from me! All To Blame! How can we still succeed taking what we dont need. Telling lies allibies, selling all the hate that we breed." >_> But see thats what I've been ranting about people! They play the bad ass song. GINO Vs Godzilla. Cmon! A little more ass kicking would have been nice. Gidzilla should have at least grabbed GINO by the tail and flung him Bowser style. GINO should have also busted out the fire breath. Engulf Godzilla then have Godzilla emerge unharmed or something. All kewl like.

Anywho I think GINO's design is alright. Its not that bad.

Finally saw it... I'm sorry to say, but I only thought it was just... pretty good.

I loved Godzilla vs Megagurius, but this latest one..... it was just pretty good.

I expected to be much more rocked.

I did LOVE Kane's line of, "Sorry... I'm a vegitarian."

Made no sense and had me cracking up. That rocked. :thumbs:

Godzilla sparing Rodan, Anguirus, and King Seesar after beating them (plus a short game of soccer...lol)...was really significant because they were all allies of Godzilla the majority of the time in the Showa series.

...Gigan...wow...can you say the "Ultimate Upgrade"...regarded as the worst designs in the Showa series...nice job with his new design...bad@$$...

Zilla/GINO looks like a cross between the T-Rex from Jurassic Park and Gorosaurs from King Kong Escapes...

I was under the impression that Gigan's always been considered one of the better designs, in the 70's movies anyways. The new Gigan (designed by the same artist as Blade's Undead, IIRC) was cool, but he didn't get nearly enough screen time.

Many from Monsterzero...I would've expected Oodako or Ookondoru (even though I like those monsters)...then again we must think about the era it was in..."campy" and according to John Carpenter "nutball"...


And if Zone Fighter is ever revamped...no doubt we will see Gigan again on TV...(I doubt King Ghidorah, he's one of the Big 5...and Mothra's main adversary...minus GMK of course).










PS: ...another reason why people shouldn't look at Big One as a homosexual because you can say the same thing about the early Batman TV show...:laugh:
