Go-onger...... God, This is Killing Me.

Gekiranger > Go-onger.

for now at least..

but you guys are comparing them hardcore, it's not jungle fury!

go-onger is it's own thing. so you guys love geki so much that

you'd actually want kung fu origins for the enjins?

no no, heres a good one- hiroto's fighting technique is called boxinggeki...

is that what you guys really want?..to be spoon fed every detail in kung fu

language?

well i've noticed something people say geki is good and great

but you never explained it. why is it good?

and there's only one thing i've heard about it,the " seriousness".

what else?

The story is wonderful. It has villians and heroes that are interwoven into the story. They relate to each other on more than one level. Like when Rio decided to become more powerful because the Geki's gained new powers. The story line has a wide arc that keeps you wanting to see more of the story. There are very interesting extra characters that give more feeling and detail to the heroes and villians of the show. There is a lot more I enjoy about geki, but needless to say I enjoyed the hell out of it.

Why is Geki good? It was the return of the romance and meaning that Sentai was full of in the old days but lost once the 00s came along. The story itself is philosophical: a war that didn't have to be; the cycle of life; evil never fully being defeated, thus demanding constant preparedness. We had a vicious enemy in the RinJyuDen and Rio, a man on a fruitless quest for power. I liked the martial arts theme and the Red vs. Villain rivalry of yesteryear, but those were just a bonus. The real reasons Geki was good was because of the reasons I cited above. Go-On has next to none of these, despite it having all the tools handed to it on a silver platter. It's disgraceful. I haven't yet turned the show off completely like I did with Gaoranger to Magiranger, but I have little motivation to keep up with it like I do with Kiva.
