Hibiki really does get a lot better (though I thought those early episodes were great) once you get to Ibuki and then it really takes off when Todoroki and Zanki show up. Just stick it out! You'll get paid off awesomely.

I'll prolly agree with Ryou on that point as well.........basically once you get up to the episodes where Todoroki starts fighting Makamou as the third main Oni in the series will you start to see the good stuff. I like Hibiki, despite the fact that it has many unorthodox elements that make it seem less like a Kamen Rider (even though I never watching Hibiki from the perspective of a Kamen Rider fan, but as a general toku fan).

If you can block the "Kamen Rider" perspective from your mind as you're watching Hibiki and start watching Hibiki as just a normal toku fan, then you'll be able to enjoy Hibiki

ya know I don't see the problem with Hibiki not being a kamen rider-like rider, seriously...what's the problem with him having the rider moniker, so he doesn't have a bug motif, half the heisei riders aren't even based on bugs and he does have uber eyes, they just blend in well.

Imo the series was nicely done, despite the change in staff I still throughly enjoyed Hibiki through and through, cos damn hibiki and the drums, how can anyone not love the rythmn.

Well technically, the Heisei Riders that don't have a bug motif still manage to make sure they keep that "bug-like, Kamen Rider" feature on their face helmets.

Kiva = vampire bat motif, still has huge bug eyes
Den-O = a train motif, each of it's forms still has huge bug eyes
Agito = dragon motif (yes, dragon), obviously has huge bug eyes
Ryuki/Dragon Knight = huge bug eyes are hidden underneath helmet faceplate, which gives it the "Knight" motif.........same goes for Kamen Rider Knight/Wing Knight

But like I said before, just because Hibiki doesn't have "Riders" that look like Kamen Riders doesn't mean you've got to write the series off completely

What I really liked about Hibiki was the fact that the Riders are those Rider everyone wanted to see in the other seasons.

They all fight for justice and especially fight the monsters and not the other riders. Most people say thats what missing about the modern riders.
Also Hibiki san itself is something most fans demanded. He is not the typical teenage dude and he is not some kind of arrogant bad ass or whiney pussy. He is a man like the old showa dudes.

I think it´s kinda Ironic that the Kamen Riders that fullfill the terms of being a real Kamen Rider dont call themselves a Kamen Rider but Onis:laugh:
