Ginga's Universe

I am quite confuse regarding Ginga's universe. I know that it is its own universe but with the appearance of the Showa Ultras and Juda, is Ginga's universe connected to the Shows verse via a constantly open wormhole (the Zero movies introduce the concept of multi verse in the franchise) or something else?

I'm really confused by just typing this.

didn't Ginga mention that he was an Ultraman from the future, hence why Taro couldn't recognize him? I assume Tsuburaya tried to link it to the Ultra Brothers' universe, but decided to scrap that idea and come up with something new for X. speaking of Ultra Brothers, I find it strange that they opted to have Taro mentor Hikaru rather than Mebius.

When did they say they scrapped it? And I think it was nice of Tsuburaya to make Taro the mentor, he deserves it (and makes my inner child happy to see him again in a main role!)

Taro's flashbacks are more based on Ultraman Story than Taro's own series. There's a bunch of Story references like Ginga Strium's powers and Grand King. It seems the Showa Ultras aren't really the versions from their shows.

Mebius as a mentor would've been weird considering his voice and all. And that's if they managed to get his actor back.

I get a headache when I try to understand the Ultraman multiverse but I think that Ginga is its own universe... I'm not 100% sure.
