Getting into Star Trek

Doc was my favorite Voyager charcter. Seeing him in First contact made me smile.

Even though the Enterprise-E doc wasn't the same as Voyager, and Crusher actually detests the program.

BTW, Crusher is the only full-time doctor who hasn't done a "I'm a doctor, not a (fill in the blank)" retort.

Watch The original and/or TNG to get a feel of what star trek is, then you can move on to the others. I also recommend watching the Kirk movies (1-6) to get even a faster feel.

Actually skip the first Star trek movie (1979) because IMO its bullshit. Go on to the Wrath of Khan (part2) and watch all the way till the undiscovered country (part 6). After that jump on the original or TNG.

Pretty much, from 1-6 in the movies, watch the even ones...and Star Trek III...1 & 5 really sucked...especially 5. The whole camping thing equal one giant sausage fest...

I highly recommend Star Trek, especially Deep Space Nine. One of the best Star Trek sites would have to be www.startrek.com. 'Cogenitor', from Enterprise season 2, is probably one of the best episodes of all five series. I can't tell if Battlestar Galactica is better or worse than Star Trek, as I never saw any of the series for that, but I do know one sci-fi series that is better than Star Trek. It is...

Meh, I'd take Star Trek and Star Gate over Star Wars anytime. :buttrock:

Both of them have Robert Piccardo somewhere  :buttrock:

How about Battlestar Galactica?. How is that series compared to Star Trek?.

Watch them both. Seriously. Watch them both. Eventually you'll learn to juggle all your sci-fi, like I'm doing with Star Trek, Stargate, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who and Mass Effect.
