Getter Robo Armageddon

Ok, so today I wanted to get some new anime to watch tomorrow, cause I have the day off and I wanna take some time for myself and blow off some steam and stress. At the recommendation of one of the guys who runs the store I bought it at, whom I've known for months, I picked up all 26 episodes of Getter Robo Armageddon. Now, before I start watching it tonight when I get home from work, what can I expect from this series(no spoilers, please)??

There was never a 26 episode series called Getter Robo Armageddon, there was a 13 ep OVA series released here as "Getter Robo Armageddon" which was originally called Shin(True) Getter Robo. So what is it that you have?

That looks like ADV's cover, so it's the Shin(True) Getter Robo OVA. It's 13 eps not 26.

Yeah, ADV is pretty stupid and has made mistakes like that.

Oh I see now which Getter series you mean. I have those on DVD (Japanese Release). The original title is 真!!ゲッターロボ 世界最後の日
I personally loved this OAV series, with the gloomy dooms-day premise it carries.

It actually isn't an official ADV release, as half the back cover is in Japanese, and it comes packaged like most HK anime sets.....oh well....

Anyways, got through the first four episodes today before I got side tracked(haha, trip to Target, and then was too tempted to watch the DVDs I got while at Target :anime: ), but so far, I'm really loving this series. Obviously it would've been better to watch Getter Robo first, but still I'm loving the darkness of the series :thumbs:

Yeah, that's mostly what this one store near me sells. Went in there to get a RH Kabuto Rider Form figure, decided to get some new anime too, saw this and went for it. But yeah, thats screwed up that they just stole the cover art....
