well, the DLCs are an expansion of the Dark Side endings and aren't canon at all, so I don't see why fans should be pissed about their heroes getting killed.

Yeah, they'll get pissed off just seeing it, hearing about it, knowing that it's just there...regardless how it stands in the canon.
