Final Spider-Man 3 Trailer

bad ass trailer, though I think they showed way too much. I mean cmon, is there not going to be any surprises in the movie?

so basiclly, Raimi has taken the three episodes of The FOX series and added sand-man. I really was hoping he would be smart enough to leave Venom for a next film.... three villians AND the costume. Havn't they learned that if you try to do the black costume AND venom in the same Arc it just feels cheap and rushed. The reason Venom was such a captivating character when he originally appeared was because the Symbiote hadn't done anything evil to Peter yet he tried to kill it anyways. The whole "The suit makes him evil" is just a lame plot device for rushing past the black spidey and getting to Venom. at least the FOX series spent a good amount of time on Brock.

But Bryce as Gwen FTW

Yeah but remember, this movie wasnt about Venom originally and still isnt about Venom. From what I understand (no spoilers please), it's about forgiveness and Peter's ongoing struggle and relationship with Mary Jane and Harry Osborn. Venom wasnt even in the equation in the beginning, he was put into the film because people kept telling Raimi to.

If you blame anyone, it's not Raimi. Blame the fans for constantly saying "we want venom" and having the studio execs hearing those cries and saying "Raimi, put him in the film. We want money from it.".

I also think you're downplaying the concept of the suit and how it ties into the ongoing plot of the first two films. The suit may not be making him evil. It's the power it gives peter that drives him towards revenge and not forgiveness. I think the suit has less to do with it than the fact that all this **** has been building up for the past two movies.

You're looking at the third film as just a "venom" film. "How could they do this right for venom". But you arent realizing that this isnt a venom film. It's a peter parker film, has been since movie 1. It's not about the villains. If you even notice, all three villains in this film have some connection to Peter Parker's character development and progression. Sandman being the guy who may have really killed his Uncle Ben. Harry who's GF was taken by Peter and father killed by Spider-man. Then Eddie Brock who's a new guy who seems to have something to do with giving Peter trouble at work (at the Daily Bugel).

They arent there to steal the focus away from Peter, they are there to shine new light on Peter's character and how he deals with each new problem. If all you want is the perfect "venom" film, I say dont watch it. You wont be happy with the results. This is a Peter Parker film, first and foremost.

*steps down from soap box*

And hell, I say there shouldnt even be a next film. Some of the main cast seems to think so as well, and I agree that three is enough for Spider-Man. We don't need Spider-Man to become nothing more than just a "Villain Party" where all we look forward to is the new Villain and his or her character developement. The movies should simply keep focusing on Peter and I feel like in this third installment, Peter is reaching the end of his progression. We've seen him go through a lot and there is not much more he can go through that wouldnt seem "overkill"

The more trailers I see, the less interested I become.

I'll probably still see it, if for no other reasons than the MST3K factor.

Eddie Brock/Venom been played by Topher Gracey is still unsettling, even with the fangs and the awsome costume, I still expect Red to come out and screem at him "DUMBASS!" all the sudden.

this grin is weird o_O

To be honest, I dont even recognize him as Topher. He doesnt look the same at all. I think he'll be a great Eddie. But then, I'm just not overly nit picky about these things. I remember before Spidey 1 everyone wouldnt stop bitching about Peter Parkers actor. But he turned out great, in my opinion

I think the movie is less exciting because everyone already busted a nut over the idea, read the scripts, and the trailers just give away every surprise in the movie it seems. Im not surprised that excitement levels would be lower since there's nothing to look forward to that you arent already expecting

I aint eather, I just... something issnt right. At all. It's Karma I guess. But all in all, im still watching it since A)Im a Sucker for Spider-man and B)I'm a sucker for Sam Rami and C) the movie looks awsome overall, despite the bad juju around some aspects.
