Final Fantasy XVI (2023): Clive Rosfield is drawn into a brutal war fueled by magical Dominants and their summoned Eikons. It leans fully into cinematic, action-focused combat with a darker medieval tone. AKA Final Fantasy 16, FF16, FFXVI
Final Fantasy Games are usually G to PG 13, I mean the old combat system is not violent looking because turned base system looks silly. Square Enix wanted Final Fantasy XVI to be more serious and less silly than the previous games. They want it to be dark so they decided to make the game M-rating. So the game will probably violent and will have mature language.I wonder if they will have sex content too. I think they know the kids who played past Final Fantasy iterations are adults now so they decided to make this game M-rated.
There is a Lemur on my shoulder
Bam! I'm thrilled to hear that Final Fantasy XVI will take on a more serious tone! I enjoy the franchise's adventure and romance, but seeing a darker side of the world will be interesting.
It's fantastic that Square Enix is taking chances and experimenting with the M-rating. It demonstrates their willingness to change and adapt to their audience's changing tastes.
The concept of Final Fantasy XVI being rated M doesn't exactly appeal to me. I don't want the franchise to stop being appealing because it has always been a family-friendly environment.Violence and coarse language don't, in my opinion, automatically improve games. Without them, the previous Final Fantasy games were fantastic, so I'm concerned that adding them would detract from the gameplay.
As an adult fan of the series, I appreciate Square Enix's recognition of our maturity and catering to our interests. I'm really excited to see what they have in store for us! The idea of Final Fantasy XVI being more mature and gritty excites me! It demonstrates that the series is willing to experiment with gore and sex.
The turn-based combat system may look silly to some, but it's a part of the series' charm. Changing it just to make the game more serious may backfire.I think Square Enix is making a mistake by assuming that all adult fans of the series want an M-rated game. It's possible to have a serious tone without resorting to violence and mature themes.
I trust Square Enix to handle the M-rating in a tasteful and appropriate way. They've always been great storytellers, so I'm sure they won't disappoint.Even if Final Fantasy XVI is more violent and mature, I don't think it will take away from the franchise's positive message and themes. I'm excited to see how they handle the new direction!
Geez some people here are prude
I personally don't think that making the game M-rated will make it automatically better. The series has always had a way of balancing serious themes with lightheartedness, and I think they should keep that balance. While I can appreciate Square Enix's attempt to cater to an older audience, I think they should still consider their younger fans. Making the game M-rated might turn off some long-time fans who grew up playing the series.
I'm not a fan of games with excessive violence and mature content, so I'm disappointed to hear that Final Fantasy XVI will have an M-rating. It might not be the game for me.
I think that the mature themes in Final Fantasy games have always been handled tastefully and without resorting to excessive violence or mature content. I don't think an M-rating is necessary to tell a good story.
Boring Prudes, I dont think so! M-rating will give Square Enix more creative freedom to explore darker and more mature themes. It will be interesting to see how they tackle these subjects!I'm excited to see how the characters in Final Fantasy XVI will develop in this darker world. It will be a fresh take on the beloved franchise. The past games had been dark before. They just toned it down to get PG-13
Mature content is my Jam!, I'm stoked to hear that Final Fantasy XVI will have an M-rating. It shows that Square Enix is willing to take risks and create something unique.
I trust that Square Enix will handle the M-rating responsibly and create a game that is both mature and thought-provoking. I'm looking forward to seeing how they handle it!
