Favorite Wrestling Matches

No...that was one of the matches I haven't seen. I'll probably have it soon, when I pick up another Hayabusa comp. tape...

Another great Hayabusa match that I enjoy was when He, Tiger Mask IV, and Great Sasuke vs. Masahito Kakihara, Manouke Mossman and Yoshinari Ogawa. The match ended up going to a draw. So many close finishes....

Y'know, I've seen a lot of Hayabusa's matches, but only one under his Darkside gimmick. I probably need to get on that...

As much as I love death matches, I'd have to say my favorite are the explosion death matches....but the one thing I love more than that is strong-style wrestling. Watching some old All Japan stuff w/ Kenta Kobashi, Misawa, Jun Akiyama, Akira Taue, Kawada, Stan Hansen, Johnny Ace, Giant Baba(god rest his soul)....that **** is my favorite because their moves look like they hurt like hell! I especially love Keiji Mutoh(back in nWo and during BATT)....he's one of my favorites...next to Kawada. Kawada rules cause he can sell anything and when he hits his kicks, they look like they fucking hurt. The man is called "Dangerous K" for a reason...

I don't like the explosion type matches mainly because I like a lot of rope action, and going to the ropes during any kind of explosion match is usually a bad idea.

I can see where you're coming from on this, especially hyping Kenta Kobashi (dropping people on their heads), but I'm more of a fan of the luchadores, highflyers and the types that can blend martial arts and groundwork (but this is coming from a biased standpoint because I've been a martial artist for a long time and I'm not a very big guy). They're usually more fun for me to watch.

*shrugs*

I like twisty things.

I love that type of wrestling as well. I all all 3 Super J Cups on VHS, along w/ the J-Crown tourney...I got some old tapes featuring the original Tiger Mask...the man who brought that style of wrestling to Japan...I also got some Comp. tapes featuring Rey Mysterio Jr.(ECW, Mexico and Japan), Ultimo Dragon, Dragon Kid(Dragon-rana is one of the sickest moves I've seen done), Great Sasuke, Jyushin Thunder Lyger....I will say that I love puro alot more than the stuff shown here...

I have a couple of Mysterio's matches from Mexico on my laptop, including a 3-Fall match with Juventud Guerrera when he still wrestled with a mask. Pretty cool stuff, but it's always bugged me how uneventful Mexican matches are, plus the way the referee counts is just waaaaay too slow.

Yeah. The one thing I always got a kick out of was that AAA was sponsored by Corona...whenever I watch those matches, I have that urge to drink a Corona....
