Favorite Animation Studios Known for Their Stunning Visuals?

[San Goku]

I've been really drawn to the visual artistry in animation lately, and I'm curious about which studios are known for pushing aesthetic boundaries. I know Pixar and Studio Ghibli are often praised, but are there any lesser-known studios or specific films that really stand out for their unique animation styles? What are your recommendations?

Cartoon Saloon deserves a shout-out for their stunning visuals, particularly in films like Song of the Sea and The Secret of Kells. Their unique 2D style, inspired by Celtic folklore, is so rich and layered that it almost feels like you're looking at living illustrations. I find it captivating, but sometimes their stories can veer into pacing issues that don't resonate with everyone. Compare that to Ghibli's Spirited Away, which balances breathtaking visuals with a tight narrative, creating an experience that's hard to beat. It's interesting to see how animation can blend art and storytelling, but not every studio hits that sweet spot.
