Favorite British Comedy TV shows

I was wondering if anyone has seen any British Comedy TV shows that has aired in US broadcast?

I do! I have three favorite shows...

1. Mr. Bean - Ah I loved this series and it was friggin' hilarious. He has done something werid and silly things. I thought it was funny when Mr. Bean slept with his brown bear. :laugh: Brilliant show. :buttrock:

2. Mr. Bean: The Animated Series - Definitely one of the best animation ever I have seen. Big head and his thin body. It used to be aired in US for a while.

3. Keeping Up Appearance - That was hilarious. I absolutely love that show. The lady, her name is Hyacinth Bucket and she was completely werid, rude, annoying...etc. I called her "Werid lady". Patricia Routledge is an awesome actress. Everything made me laugh. :buttrock: This show ruled.

So what about you guys?

I only have one that I have loved for YEARS (and I mean well over a decade now since like 1991-92).

RED DWARF!

OMG! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE that show. LOVE IT.

I got the hubby hooked on it, years ago when we first were dating. Wait, did I date the hubby? It's been sooooo long. At any rate, got him hooked on Red Dwarf.

There was another British comedy that I loved with the two women, the one daughter and the blonde woman was such a lush! What was it called.... Oh yes, Absolutely Fabulous!


Oh and there was Are You Served? Least I think that's what the series was called. Oh and Father Ted!

Right now I'm hooked on Footballers Wives on BBC America. I think it's first season but I'm not sure. A friend of mine, who lives in the UK, said it's on the third season there.

Yeah it was called Are You Being Served. It also had another series, wouldn't call it a spin off, called Are You Being Served Again? Basically most of the main cast takes over running a Inn Young/Old Mr. Grace had after he dies. NOt as good as the first but still entertainig.

Not sure you want to count these but Monty Pythins Flying Circus and the Dave Allen show, kinda a skecth comedy show, are up there for me. And you can't mention skectch comedy without Benny Hill

Red Dwarf, Are You Being Served?, and Keeping up appearances are faves of mine as well.

Doctor Who, Peter Davison is my fave Doctor.

Tom Baker for me, and before anybody ask the Doctor can very funny in the right situation

Black Adder and Red Dwarf are the best, IMO.

Spaced is the best. Nick Frost is so funny... and so very very hot.

Red Dwarf is a classic!! I'm proud to say that I have Series 1-7 on DVD. I also love Coupling. I mean, what other show deals with how to extricate yourself from your girlfriends house? Monty Python's Flying Circus is also a classic. But here are my shows:

Red Dwarf, Coupling, The Office, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Mr. Bean, Blackadder, Father Ted.

As for my favorite actor to play the good Doctor, I gotta go with Tom Baker. When I started getting into "Dr. Who", he was the actor who portrayed Who.
