Schools in California, New Mexico, and Illinois have taken it upon themselves to prohibit students from ingesting Frito-Lay's "Flamin' Hot Cheetos", even going so far as to confiscate them from a student's lovingly packed lunch from home.
The reason? The off-shoot of the popular cheese flavored corn snack is a part of a wide range of foods that are "Hyperpalatable", sweet, salty, or fatty foods that trigger brain responses akin to those who are addicted to drugs or alcohol.
It also presents a janitorial concern do the the stains it leaves on children's fingers.
If parents can't properly feed their kids, nor do their kids have self-control, why should it be the schools' job to pick up the slack for the parents' neglect?
Also, going through a similar to public phys. ed program at my private school , it was a joke. I believe it was for once a week and it was nothing really like my high school gym class in freshman year. Now that class was far more strenuous and actually required exercise.
Bolt I love your reply, but I have to repost two that was in the comment section of this link:
bet they're banned because they think (the schools)the kids'll wanna do Cannabis !!!!!!!

It shouldn't, but now some schools in California have MADE it their job.
Honestly, I can understand the restrictions on sodas and snack foods being sold within the school. I support that, because those things should not have been there in the first place.
Confiscating something from a student's lunch made at home is overstepping their bounds.
