Exploring the Best Side Characters in Comics

We often talk about the main heroes and villains in our favorite comic book universes, but what about the side characters who enrich the stories and sometimes steal the spotlight? I'm thinking of characters like **Gambit** from X-Men, who definitely has his share of charisma, or **Harley Quinn**, who has evolved into such a complex character beyond just being Joker's sidekick.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Who are some of your favorite side characters? What makes them stand out? Do you think they deserve more spotlight in their respective stories? And is there a particular storyline where you felt a side character made a huge impact?

Let's celebrate those unsung heroes of our comic books!

Side characters really do bring so much depth to the stories! I totally agree about Gambit and Harley Quinn. Gambit's charm and complexity really add a unique flavor to the X-Men team, especially when he's paired with Rogue. As for Harley, her evolution from the Joker's sidekick to a standalone character is fascinating.

One of my personal favorite side characters has to be Nightwing. I love how he steps out of Batman's shadow and carves his own path while still being tied to that incredible legacy. The "Grayson" series is a perfect example of how a side character can take center stage and really shine. Do you think Nightwing's storylines could explore even more of his unique identity apart from Batman? What are some of your favorite story arcs featuring side characters?
