Ehh!! Happy Canada Day!!!

But, you live in Toronto. Isn't that right?

Not in Toronto, but around the area, yes. But still... just because I live here doesn't mean I have to be patriotic. And if I'm not "proud to be Canadian" on the other 364 days of the year, I don't see why I would be today.

Living in Canada wasn't my choice, it was my family's when I was still little. Had it been up to me, we would have stayed in Hong Kong.

At least you have family abroad that can take you in.

That, I am truly grateful for. I am welcome to stay with them at their estate in Hong Kong and provided everything. My favorite aunt is pretty much a second mother to me.

I see. Well, whatever I don't expect you to celebrate it. I'm just curious as to see why.

Then why not go live with them? No one should stay at a place they are unhappy at. Or that's what i was always taught and told. Even my own parents told me that. :/ Im not trying to be mean im just curious.

Maybe he can't afford to go anywhere outside Canada.

I can afford it, but my family doesn't want to relocate back to Hong Kong again. They quite like it here. Occasional/annual trips are fine with them. I'm the only one who is not satisfied. Also, I do want to stay with my immediate family and not make webcam the only way to communicate daily.

They also want me to try working here first before deciding to work in Hong Kong instead. The work pressure in Hong Kong is also very bad, like in Japan, so that's another thing deterring me. However, they pretty much let you keep what you make in Hong Kong unlike Canada where the government always leeches out a huge portion off your paycheck.

Ever thought about living in Hong Kong by yourself when you can afford a place to live over there?
