E3 2012 will reveal Xbox 360's successor?

The major culprit of the RROD: putting the GPU right next to the disc tray (heat from GPU+spinning disc heat = WTF ARE YOU DOING) has been solved.

Sure, RROD will happen, but it's now as likely as another console breaking. Just take care of the thing, leave it out with enough open air to vent, and don't play it on a hot summer day.

They just don't make em out of Nintendium like they used to.

I felt the same way a little bit, but I bought a new one last week. But then again, my old one was pretty old. Bought it back in 07. The Slim is a lot better. So much quieter and has 2 fans to prevent overheating. I don't regret buying a new Xbox.

I need to buy a new system. I'm actually quite tired of the turbine fan that is my DVD drive.
