E3 2009: The best one in some years?

Based on how Microsoft seems to be leaning with their whole presentation on the movies, Facebook, etc, I'm assuming more casual games than anything else

To be honest, I think the 360 would have benefited more from integrating actual internet explorer into the system than the facebook/twitter integration. Right now MS has the ONLY console that doesn't support any web browser. If they really wanted to hype the 360 as the new social networking console, I think they should have gone the rout of an internet browser, and incorporated some enhanced features for facebook/twitter/lastfm whatever into that.

It reminds me of when the PS3 was going to have those boomarang shaped controllers and after the Wiimote came out they went back to the PS2 shape and added that motion thing too it and everyone called it a ripoff too.

I am so sick of this "rip off" bullshit. Unmei was right when he said the only people that scream rip off are the fanboys who only care about backing their company of choice. It is all innovation, and it all helps the gamers.

Apparently you didn't read the technical reasons I provided as to why it's in no way a 'ripoff' aside from being a motion sensitive controller that you hold in your hand, so I'll leave you to your own beliefs.

Microsoft should make it optional between Firefox and their browser IE or have them decide from a selection on Xbox marketplace because since most browsers are free, they would not offer any commercial competition to speak of, and it would give M-soft a better image than Apple currently. The reason why I brought up Apple is primarily because they have a stringent App policy that would not let Mozilla put Firefox onto the Itouch; Microsoft should use that weakness to make their Xbox and Zune more open for developing apps.

That IMO would not be happening even if MS did the browser. If they ever did do it, you can be assured they would use IE.

I never really stopped to think about that. It is kind of strange that the 360 is the only system to not have a browers. Even the PSP and DSi do.

Maybe they don't want to use it so people will still buy computers and they can make money off of Windows. Who knows?

I wouldn't dare dream connect a console where I have limited control over everything with IE.

There is some misconception that Firefox is some how the godly browser, and while I use it it is still as vulnerable as IE.
