Dynamic Sig's?

Yeah, sign avatar is great. Though I can never get the rotating avatars to work, only signatures.
If you're trying to get rotating avatars to work here on HJU, they won't. I tried using one here when I first joined, and when I couldn't get it to work I PM'ed Keith about it. He did a little checking and found out that V-Bulletin does not allow rotating avatars. Since HJU is a V-Bulletin based board, that means that we can't have rotating avatars here. Rotating Sigs are fine for V-Bulletin, but not rotating avatars.

Either that or use an animated gif...
Actually, he's talking about rotating signature aka random sigs.
It's the same concept. You can also use a PHP code and host it yourself if you want to...

It is, and yet it is not. An animated GIF is something completely different from a rotating sig.

An animated GIF is a single image file, containing multiple image frames that "moves", often depicting a scene/something from a video clip. Many people here, myself included) have animated GIFs as avatars. A rotating sig/avatar is a method of coding that allows one to use multiple, individual image files in the same spot. Only one image is used at any one time, however the coding involved changes/"rotates" the image that is used every time the person's web-browser opens a new page/refreshes.

At least I didn't upload avatars at signavatars.com. Each time I upload them on ImageShack (in which I can't upload directly in signavatar), I simply copy their direct link locations and presto.

I just saying that you can have an animated gif for a signature using different pictures...

Example...

deepstrikerani.gif

Although the example above is for an Avatar, I could have used different pictures and have it resized to match a signature, as well as adjust the timing... Though, it won't be random, unlike if it comes from a hosted site...

Well, at least I can make animated GIFs using Photoshop for basics.
