DVD Help for Rider project

Now known as MythicFables
So my final project for one of my classes is a 100 page journal of my sketchwork. I'm finishing up the book tonight (due in the morning) but since There is a section devoted to Kamen Rider, I want to include a DVD in the back that contains several episodes of Kamen Rider for my Prof to watch. I would be fine burning them in Data DVD format, but I would like to burn them in video format so they will play in a dvd player.

Since my copy of Nero doesn't want to let me do it without purchasing a plug-in, does anyone know of a free program that will let me burn the disc and I can download tonight?

VCD's arn't universally compatible. While they do play in many DVD players, they don't play in all. Also the 60 min time cap on a vcd would mean there would not be enough space for what I needed.

Anywho, The project is handed in. Still, I'd like to include the dvd in with next semesters final, so I'll still need that program.

Can anybody help? I know there are several members here who burn Kabuto to DVD regularily.

I just burn mine as Data DVD-ROMS. I think to burn them as video DVDs you need to re-encode the eps. Either that or make sure that your prof has access to a newer model DVD player that can play .avi files.

Yeah, you have to re-encode the files to a MPEG-2 format and then burn them to DVD.

And generally free programs are not going to do either...or at least, real well. I use TMPGEnc for both my encoding and DVD authoring. And while the programs themselves are not free, I did find cracked versions on bittorrent.

Vigi, i burn Toku stuff all the time into DVD. i use Nero to burn them all but since u have a problem with Nero, i dont know what u should use. but basically, just convert how many episodes u have into DVD and then burn them into a DVD-R. thats what i do. i usually create menus for them too.
