Dr. Who - Talk Up!

"Fear Her" has aired in the UK,

[Hide]It was a decent, budget-saving episode that failed to really ellaborate on some good character oppertunities, but also had some good performances from the child actress and the reasons behind the alien spore possesing her, trapping everyone in drawings.

The Doctor running with the Summer Olympic Torch into the stadium to help the spore begin it's journey into space was a highlight.

Could have done with more of the prisoners in the sketches moving around, it was only seen ONCE in the pre-credits sequence, and then again when Roe finds the sketch of the girl's abusive father (more of an apparition than a real person)

Next Week: The finale begins, Torchwood finally rears it's head, The Doctor attempts to solve the mysteries behind ghosts reappearing, The Cybermen...

...And did I see someone get exterminated?

[Hide]The Doctor and Rose return to Earth to find the ghosts of the undead have seemingly returned, and have been doing so for weeks, so the people of Earth (Jackie included) have become attached to them, Jackie even thinking one of them is Rose's grandfather. The ghosts only exist for a few minutes before vanishing, but often return

The Doctor and Rose trace the cause to Torchwood Tower, who instantly capture him, recognising him from their files that go back to the encounter with Queen Victoria in "Tooth and Claw". Torchwood are pulling the ghosts in through a new transmitter, but The Doctor tells them that there only pulling in people from alternate worlds, not ghosts, because the barriers around the alternate dimensions (first explored in "Rise of the Cybermen") have been fractured by a probe that came through the void in between, a probe Torchwood have recently collected.

Meanwhile, a group of Cybermen are secretly reprogramming Torchwood personal to work for them and to begin the "Ghostwave" (which brings the ghosts into our world for a while) ahead of schedule, The Doctor tries to stop it by killing the humans under Cyber-control, but fails to stop the process in time. The "ghosts" , millions of Cybermen, materialize all over the planet.

Rose makes her way into the storage room where the probe is kept, and meets Mickey, much more of a badass than he used to be, Mickey and Rose, and a scientest witness the opening of the prober as The Doctor asks The Cyberman what the probe is for, the Cyberman does'nt know, it is not of any known orign to them.

The probe opens and a legion of Daleks pour out.

Next week's promo indicates The Cybermen and The Daleks finally batlte one another, and a mysterious "Genesis" device is brought in, it's purpose unknown, but The Daleks insist it be protected.

Another hint to what happens to Rose appears in this episode, and it's something I've suspected for a while

Jackie tells Rose that if she dies, then what does she do with her life? She may depend on her so much, that if something happens to her, would she just keep travelling, becoming more distant etc, until Rose Tylor does'nt exist, and in her place a stranger?[/Hide]

Why do I get a big feeling that we'll be seeing a certain Evil wheelchaired scientist appearing some time soon with these Daleks.... oh and what color where these Daleks?

[HIDE]It's possible in the universe these Daleks came from he might still be alive.[/HIDE]

[Hide]And you see a Black Dalek with 2 gold ones. There's another but the camera angles don't give a good look at its plating.[/HIDE]
