Dr. Who is Awesome.

Isn't what happened to Romana still a question mark? And what about the Rani?

[hide]On-screen, Romana is in E-Space...in the novels, she died in The Time War with Faction Paradox, where Gallifrey was destroyed the first time. Personally, I see RTD bringing Romana back possibly in The Sarah Jane Adventures (bringing in companions of older Doctors will be something to keep going after the Jo Grant storyline)

As for The Rani...unless Moffat canonizes Dimensions In Time, about the only two people that could keep her canocily alive are her creators, Pip and Jane Baker, she'd be dead otherwise along with everyone else.

RTD didnt like The Time Lords, he disposed of them and brought them back to say "This is why". Moffat to my understanding, doesnt like them either. Neither did the original series best writer, Robert Holmes[/hide]

Honestly, Dr. Who Capt. Jack >>> Torchwood Capt. Jack. I realize that Torchwood is meant to be darker and angstier, but I just enjoy his portrayal so much more on Who-- he's way more fun.

Gonna have to agree with you there, his "naked hide and seek" antics in Torchwood really ruined the show for me, I really don't need to be reminded of Jack's rampant mansex drive in every episode. Like I'm trying to enjoy Torchwood but the show constantly tries to push "everybody in the entire universe is gay or bisexual" when it isn't really needed.

Eh, his games of hide-the-salami don't bother me so much as his "OH THE PAIN I FEEL THAT EVERYONE I CARE ABOUT DIES" angsting. In Doctor Who, he's all "adventures! whee!" while Torchwood Jack's all "SAVN WRLD IZ SRS BIZNES."

I'm very late to the game, but with all the recent Doctor Who talk here and listening to the Geekbox podcast where they always talk about Doctor Who in one way or another, I decided to check it out. What peaked my interest was their description of the Weeping Angels and how they move only when you're not looking at them. That sounded creepy as hell and intriguing. So, Aoi Kurenai showed me the first ep of the recent series with the 11th Doctor, and I gotta say, I enjoyed it a lot. The Doctor is pretty quarky and moves and thinks in a very fast pace. And he's pretty funny. Then I checked out some clips of the 10th Doctor and already cant wait to see him in action. But I decided to start from the beginning of the 2005 series, so I just finished episode one. Very interesting and cant wait to continue. Definitely something to binge on between KR W releases and between shows like LOST and 24. :D

Damn you and your propoganda! :shakefist

Welcome to Air TARDIS. Next stop: EVERYWHERE. :D

Just finished Waters of Mars a couple minutes ago.

Good God, I'm not looking forward to the end of the Tenth Doctor's run.... :(

It's heartbreaking. He was such a great Doc. I'm glad that Matt Smith's Doc is so different. Completely new character.

Thought people might like to hear that there's a new Chameleon Circuit music video (though the song is from the first album, and thus not really new in itself):

[Warning: Possible spoilers for Series 4 within.]

Note: Apparently you can see King Louis, from Disney's The Jungle Book, for a brief moment in one of the montages because Alex Day, the main vocalist for the song, wanted someone, in this case, the band's producer "NSG," to sing vocals for one of the solos in the song "like King Louis in The Jungle Book". An unusual and obscure reference to be sure.
