Does anyone at your school/college like Tokusatsu?

I had a few friends at school who were into tokusatsu (and, I still keep in touch with them); but once they graduated, the number of people dwindled considerably.

Trivia: my little sisters(10 and 15) watched some Sentai and Rider.

My younger sister does too!

When I came to university last year nobody else at the fledgeling had ever really watched toku ever. However, over time they've become a lot more open to it. This year I live with most of my anime club friends, so they been absorbing a lot of my toku marathons. Most notably, my marathon of Faiz has led to everyone I know becoming a fan of the show. Even months later, they can start singing 'Justifaiz' at the drop of a hat.

I know one person who watches Toku, but I'm not on speaking terms with him. We're basically two very different people and a fondness in TV is where anything friendly about us ends.

..said most of the people at my college back in 2005-ish. And to my recollection they were pretty negative about Anime and Manga too.

Who gives a crap about them anyway?

Moving onto recently, I was talking with someone who was assisting me to an interview for a job at a supermarket, and we were having a chat about our hobbies, and eventually I told him that I like to watch Japanese shows, and I mentioned Kamen Rider as an example. I just said it was like Batman, and I think I got him interested because he said he likes Batman too.

Dunno if he went on to Google "Kamen Rider" and see what it's like but... yeah, just don't mention Power Rangers and you'll do fine.

It's not that I don't like Power Rangers, I LOVE Power Rangers but at their time LOADS of people have always been negative about the show. You could say Power Rangers is Justin Bieber of it's time.. except Justin Bieber is genuinely crap.

Here at USU the only other people I know who are even remotely interested in Toku are people that I have introduced to it, Sadly.

In Japan I had lots of friends in the university who were into Tokusatsu. My girlfriend included.
Back in Denmark however... If you say "Japanese television", people will say "Jackie Chan?"

So yeah. Not many toku fans at home LOL.
