I didn't want to actually go to Japan to get a job, I want to go to Japan for more personal reasons. I have to get a job before I go to Japan and to get a job I have to.. eh,, do all these things I have to do. Jobcenter, Work Experiance and all those other things that may suddenly pop infront of me when I least expect them to.

You know RSR, on top of doing everything others have already mentioned, there are a couple of things you can do now before you step foot in Japan (if that is your final goal).

1) Ask yourself these things:
a. What's my education level?
b. What, if allowed, do I want to do?
c. Do I have all the qualifications? If not, that's your first step.
d. Take an inventory of what your Likes/Dislikes, your Skills/Talents. etc.
One of the easiest and crucial factors in being successful in finding a job, is to know yourself.

2) Go to the public library or a university library. They have free and often very helpful databases and such. If you're interested in Japan, get to know the culture, history, research it. Don't base things off of their entertainment, (while these things can provide a lot of important cultural insight), they don't portray reality. Talk to the people on this forum who live and work there. They can tell you first-hand.

Why history? Japan, like many other countries, but particularly Japan, are inclined to xenophobia. It's not easy to fit in right off the bat in any place, but you should be prepared to know what you're going to face.

3) This may sound cliche but it's true. Often education is the quickest, and least expensive way to relocate etc.

4) Finally, your parents are good resources. Ask them what they think. They do, despite whatever you might think/disagree/agree are older than you, hence most likely more experienced about such matters in this world, and if you show them you're serious about this, I'm almost sure any parent would do what they can to help.

If you're seriously set on living and working in Japan one day, it might take awhile, but these and what everyone else has said is probably the fundamental steps to making that a reality. Good Luck!

And now that I've mentioned Beavis n Butthead, I now wish that I didn't because now that I did this thread is slowly starting to go off topic and stupid unlike the intelligent manlike conversation it was when it began, and the level of asking Keith for about the 3rd time (I think it was the 3rd time, or so, I dunno) to have a thread locked increasing slightly by about 1%.

1) What is a "manlike" conversation?

2) Why should the thread be locked?

I didn't do anything bad in the first place at the time to be banned from watching BnB, she should've just let me have the right to watch whatever the hell I want (especially for someone who has a seriously worse taste in television than me).

Why? And how old were you when you were banned from watching BnB?

I've stopped reading when I got to page 3 cuz its getting really long.

Come on, RSR, I've just adviced you to tone down a little with most of your little dissatisfaction in life. Some mothers do most of the housework, more than just washing the dishes and good ones rarely complaint. They wash dishes -- not only their own plates but dishes of the entire family. You've only been tasked to clean up everybody's dishes and Grrr, not fair!

I've got to wash my family's dirty dishes everyday and I never see myself as a dirty scoundrel, as you've described yourself. IMO its only fair if we did a little work such as cleaning up even though our parents made us food or not.

Ehh... I never wash any dishes because it has GERMS on them!!

Just kidding.

Anywho, when I used to live with my parents, I had to clean all dishes for Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. That was my chore to do. That's one reason why I had to wash those and also, I had to pay some foods for them because my mom always pay foods. Always.

I had to pay rents and foods, it costs me $300 a month. Yes. FRICKIN' THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS!!!!!!! It was too painful. Blah.

Right now, I have my own living and I'm happy with that. Well, atleast every bills are pain in the butt. Blah.

So yea....

Yeah, helping your parents isn't a bad thing. Being expected to help your parents isn't a bad thing either.

That's how it is for me, currently.

300 bucks is cheap as hell for rent, food, bills, etc. I wouldn't ever want to live anywhere else for that cheap.

I don't really do any chores around the house, but then again its not like they're needed. I cook my own food, keep my room clean and wash dishes occasionally when they pile up. Which is like once every month or so. I also do anything else my mom asks me, like any and all heavy labor. I'm staying here for free, and even though I don't waste much in the way of resources around the house, I like to think what I do is nothing for free room and board.

For the record, this thing about RSR going to Japan....meh. If I say something, he'll just whine that this thread needs to be closed, even if I just say the God's honest truth. (Which is that you should never even think of going to another country without knowing as much as possible about it.)

Yeah 300 bucks is pretty damn cheap. I know a few people that pay 500-600 bucks a month not including a cable/internet bill, food, and other such things that fall in between....you youngin's got it easy.
