FF15 Do you like Noctis as a main character?

Why am I asking. I notice that Lightning and Vaan are getting a lot of hate on this forums. So before we move on to Final Fantasy 16 and 7 remake I want to know how you guys felt about Noctis. I mean he is so popular he became a guest character in Tekken.

He is not that bad of a person but I felt like he is so underdeveloped. I don't know much about his relationships with the other characters. He doesn't feel fleshed out. He is a cool looking character but I felt empty about him. I guess they want him to be mysterious.

I actually like him. He is very respectful to his team mates compared to Lightning and Squall. He also died in able to save everyone from Ardyn. I actually think he is a fleshed out character and I liked the road trip he had with his friends.

Unlike a-holes like Cloud,Squall and Lightning, Noctis is very nice to his friends. He is also a good son which is very rare in video game protagonist since most characters appeals to rebellious edgy teens and Noctis is not rebellious. He also shows emotions, He can laugh and get silly which shows how human he is. I am not sure why you think he is not fleshed out when the small cast of playable characters makes every playable character fleshed out.

At first I thought Noctis is the typical snobbish badass hero but he is such a nice friend. He is reserved because he is a Prince and responsibilities but he gets to have fun to show he is human.

We had good and bad protagonists in the past and I will not consider Noctis as a bad Protagonists. He is a grower, as you play the game he gets better. I don't know why the OP thinks he is underdeveloped. Underdeveloped is Vaan's forte since Vaan is badly outshined by his team members who are supposed to be supports.

My Man Noctis is 5 out of 5 stars.

Lightning is better than Noctis she have the qualities of a leader and she doesn't let her emotions control her. She is a loving sister and she disciplines her party members. I don't know why you people are hating on her. Lightning is so good she starred on 3 games compared to Noctis who only starred on 1 game with cancelled dlcs.

I think Noctis makes one of the best protagonists in the Final Fantasy games, because of the limitations of the memory in the older games - you really don't get a wide comprehensive view of the older characters, so they come off as more like a bunch of caricatures. With Noctis, we see a lot of everyday moments that makes him the most human of heroes in the series.

Noctis doesn't say much which most people think is emo-ish. He likes to keep it to himself which I don't mind.

He is cool, He is the silent badass type. He is like a skinnier version of Jotaro Kujo.

He's a bit grumpy, and I know how much Japanese people adore silent, enigmatic characters. But unlike Cloud and Squall, he is not a miserable emo. His wardrobe is decent, and he has cool hair. The characters in this game have a unique appearance that will make them stand out (all of them.) Only black, but it looks excellent on Noctis! Yes, his ability to shift and employ various weapons is incredible in terms of his capabilities.
