Do Rider props have a short lifespan?

I was just wondering, because about halfway thru Kabuto the belt's lights stopped working when he used "Cast Off", and in the last few episodes of Den-O the belt's lights have stopped working when he presses the form button or swipes the pass... Anyone else think that's weird?

As usual, I have no good reason for asking.

I think the suits are somewhat delicate (rider and monster).

It is probably because producers want it to flash and stuff to promote the product and sell it, afterwards, as more stuff comes, the lights become irrelevant.

Perhaps they just forget? Seems a bit silly for that though.

Maybe in time they do actually break, but don't make new ones that actually light up. Maybe possibly certain ones do and certain ones don't, just depends if thye want to focus on it actually lighting up?

It seems silly that they would do so many closeups of Kabuto Zector during "Cast Off" and Rider Kick when it doesn't light up.

They probably overlooked it. Don't think they have only one suit and one prop for each item. These things break and tear apart regularly during filming.

I didn't rewatch to actually see the scenes, but my take is that they have two versions of the belt, one that lights up and one that doesnt (that they use more often later). The one that lights up is probably more delicate and not a good thing to have when you're filming fight scenes. They dont use the light-up ones at all in later eps prolly because it saves time rather than having to change belts to shoot the fight scenes.

This kinda thing also applies to other rider gimmicks such as zolda's mecanical head (in his first appearance the gears actually turn), or gills / hibiki riders opening mouth.

The first time I see the gimmick used really well is in faiz' midnight mode =) Notice that when in midnight mode, they dont usually brawl as hard as when in normal mode.

It's not like they have one thing of everything. Even the expensive stuff like bikes and other vehicles. Do you think they only have one machine Zectron or whatever the bikes were called. They have a few on stand by just in case anything wrong happens. This applies to everything else, even stunt doubles!!!
