Disney imported Gridman and Sailor Moon?

That was before, via DiC, which brought them in the US as SuperHuman Syber Squad (for Gridman), and well, Sailor Moon. SSSS was aired on ABC and that was their first BEFORE Power Rangers! Sailor Moon was also their first Toei- imported anime before Digimon.

also, DiC was owned by The Walt Disney Company before in the 90's.

I knew a company wanted to bring over Sailor Moon, you can check that video out on youtube. It's pretty embarrassing... You can hear the guy filming it laughing his head off at how bad it is. It wasn't Disney though, was it? :eyebrow:

During 1996-97, a total of six VHS tapes, each containing two key (nonconsecutive in most cases) episodes of the series, were released by Buena Vista Home Video . These tapes were originally available exclusively through Toys 'R' Us stores, but later saw wider distribution in other chains. In 1998, a VHS boxset containing all thirteen episodes of the "Doom Tree" storyline (the first part of R) was released, also through Buena Vista.

I remember that, LOL it was pretty funny. And to be honest: I wouldn't be suprised at that era, companies were pretty much trying to do whatever they can to milk a new franchise
