[Discussion] Ninja Sentai Kakuranger

YOU LIE!!!!!!>:(

 I kid. From the limited stuff I have seen of Kakuranger, we were really screwed when it came to Season 3.Should've made Tommy NinjaWhite with a new obsession of kilts.

I was about to say, you must of been seeing a different Season 3 from what I have seen:anime:

Yeah we were screwed out the ass! XD Saban had so much they could have went off of with this minus the terrible ninja suits that made Tommy look racist XD

I basically take the Movie as canon and maybe some of the season. Alien Rangers felt like the worst copout season ever when in reality, Tommy could get kilt powers or just make Kimberly or Aisha white ranger.

And this, this is gold.

Vid would make sense if Zack was still on it.

I never actually saw Season 3 until very recently and I was rather disgruntled that the Movie wasn't actually cannon to the series. I guess that had something to do with the film being not very well received, which would explain why we got the sparkly "Metallic" armor instead of the movie suits

Well, what you guys think about Tommy in Ninja Red's outfit?! Seeing as though later on in Zeo that he is of Native-American decent.
Now that would definitely set the Racism bar up a bit too high, don't you think?

I think it would be used better than what the Alien Rangers did with it even though it was much. Those suits had so much potential! :bawling:

Also, who does metallic suits have to do with ninjas?

I'm finally all caught up and I think I can honestly say that Kakuranger is really high up there on my favorite Sentai list. The beginning was really fun, light and hilarious but they began to add in more and more serious stuff. The storyline progression was awesome.

And I love how they split it up into 'acts' and now we're coming up upon the heavier stuff. I'm excited to see how this goes! The Alien Ranger suits were always my favorite when I was a kid... I just don't remember anything else about them though lol

Was the MotW on Episode 13 a precursor to the Machine Empire seen in the next season with Oh-Ranger? I thought the design for that particular MotW looked very similar to the Machine Empire monsters. But yeah, this show has been kinda whacky so far. Whacky in a good way though as it can be goofy and cool at the same time. I'm liking it so far. Can't wait until I get to the episodes when MMPR Season 3 starts to adapt the zord footage.

Ep. 25 had Reiko Chiba in it. I haven't seen Zyu (and Mega), but it seems like a lot of the girls back then were in Sentai at a really young age.

Also I get where the "screeching" complaints come from now.

Great episode though, even though it kinda reminds you that in Kakuranger, upgrades and techniques almost always come from nowhere (as in, no training or even briefing required), but the show established that pretty early on. It puts a new dimension on Sasuke's character. Wonder if the show will put that into use again.

How do you get they came from nowhere? This upgrade, at least, was clearly foreshadowed last episode with the whole "you are not strong enough to beat Junior!" and a new ultimate mech on the way.
