Just ask the 80's nostalgic buffs. Most of them don't do they're research on Japanese shows and in America, Voltron started the 5 team/5 piece combining robot before Power Rangers, hence why they consider Power Rangers a "Voltron ripoff".

These are the same people who think G1 is the only good Transformers series and every other series automatically sucks.
