Densha Otoko - Funny Japanese Tv Show (review)

uhhhh ok whatever...
your comments aren't making much sense, since you say one thing yet do another(or say you'd like to do another) so I'm not gonna bother.

I'm not really sure what the appeal of this show is exactly. It's basically an ugly duckling tale, that was based on a true story(possibly). Or could it be an egocentric audiance hungry to gaze at itself, and ask "what if"? I'm not really going to touch on the TV-N issue here. But I will say this The people that are saying "Well...I'd like to watch the whole series now...but clicking the mouse, and typing a few more web adresses is waaay too much work. So I'll stick with TV-N" ...yeesh

Post Script: This series has been out a while, why is it only becoming popular now? trendy trendy.

P.P.S I'm not actually saying the show is bad or anything, I'm just saying it's not for me.

Erm...the series itself has only been out for a few months, the same with the movie and the book...a few years I think.

I like the comedic value of the show more than anything, I think the comedy is the best thing about it. Although I'm kind of biased against Jdoramas because I've been a fan of them since 1998. Yeah a lot of the series is formulaic stuff, but whatever so are most Jdoramas.

Thanks for posting, nice to know there are people that aren't TV-N zombies.

And yeah it's getting trendy, I followed the series since it first aired and have made multiple posts and topics about it, and only NOW it's catching on.

I respect your opinion and glad to know you gave it a chance.

It does seem to have become "popular" all of a sudden, hasn't it.

Because half of the people here don't know who or what D-addicts or Tokyo Toshokan is.

I have to agree with your comments and a few other comments from above.

Before I even heard of TV-Nihon, I used Envirosphere to look for fansub groups and see what (anime) was released. http://www.envirosphere.com/

Now that I'm used to BT, I use Tokyo Toshokan to grab torrents from and see what's released. How hard is it to bookmark that site? http://www.tokyotosho.com/

::Goes back to screencapping Sh15uya DVDs::

Well, I guess I wouldn't mind the "soft subs", but there's a problem with those links you posted anyway. None of them work.

They work fine for me, anyone else want to chime in with problems connecting to d-addicts? Sometimes the site can get hammered and be unresponsive, but just need to reload.

not really having a problem with connecting...but the series lost me when trainmain set his limited edition zaku down a river like it was moses. i was all "AH COME ON, MAN!!"
