Debate on Timeranger

Even tho i once said Timeranger was a 21st century sentai, I changed my mind.

That's like how people complain that Kamen Rider Black doesn't count as Showa era because "OMG! SUPER 1 IS NOTHING LIKE BLACK!"

Actually I consider Black Showa, I just don't think it should be catagorized in the same run with Super 1 :laugh:

as well as filming with a different camera.
Timeranger was the last sentai with that grainy oldschool look

Grainy? not really, old school sort of, but you can still tell the difference between Sentai footage and PR footage quality wise all the way up till Deka/SPD , I was watching the Badge episode of SPD, at one point the battle footage was pretty good quality, then a at a desert battle the quality just went way down, like not bad like 90's style, but the colors and everything looked faded and right then I knew that was Dekaranger footage.

Timeranger is the last sentai of the 20th century. The cast and production staff of the show even called it as "the last great show of the 20th century". The good thing about Timeranger is that it was able to witness the end of an era (20th century/2nd millennium) and the start of a new one (21st century/3rd millennium). It also bridged the gap between Ishinomori's sentai and those from Battle Fever J up to the current show by virtue of the Super Sentai Daishugo. Timeranger is also the best sentai series of all time until Magiranger came along.:thumbs:

i believe timeranger started for the 2000s. i don't care about centuries. and timeranger brought the super sentai logo that appears before the opening song.

oh yeah, wouldn't it be cool if gaoranger and timeranger teamed up instead of the Vs Super Sentai

Unfortunately, you have to consider the years included in a particular century. It would be cool if Timeranger teamed up with "Super Sentai" instead of Gaoranger.

Considering that most of the 00' Sentai follow Gao's lead in terms of amping up the wackyness and excessive gimmickery then I'd say yeah, it all starts there.

Comic relief is not the basis for classifying sentai shows according to the centuries where they belong. By the way, Gekiranger is a "serious" sentai with only Jan (Geki Red) and sometimes Ken (Geki Chopper) acting as certified goofballs.:anime:

I agree more. Time did start 21st century sentai, NOT Gao.
