DC's 'Raven' to get adapted under The CW

The Variety reports:

The CW is looking to adapt "Raven," a half-demon also known as Rachel Roth, into a series. Diego Gutierrez, who most recently served as co-exec VP on "V," is writing and will exec produce.

While it would be nice to see some other "lesser known" heroes getting some recognition, I agree that some other high profile characters should be targeted first.

Apart of me thinks they should stick to more "higher-profile" characters, but I'm all for a 'Raven' series. I loved her character in "Teen Titans", and it would be interesting to see where they go with this. Now, I wonder if the "Blue Beetle" series is still in the works? If so, I think this could potentially open a door to a live action "Teen Titans" series or something.

I like this idea. She was my fave character on Teen Titans besides all of them since i like them all. I want/would love to see Mae Whitman play her in the series since she does have the voice plus is the right age.

Considering the fact that this would be a great complement to Supernatural after Smallville, i might start watching real TV again.

And when/if that rumored Batman series comes on the air, I'll be set. Come to think of it ,that show could also be a launch point in addition to Raven for a Teen Titans live action series/movie.

Raven is a surprising choice but the more I think about it, the more she makes sense. Teenager with serious issues makes it a fit for the CW. The demons and magic would also make this a good companion show for "Supernatural" on Friday nights.
