DaiRanger after KibaRanger's debut

I've been watching TV-Nihon's subs, and ever since the initial arc where Kou became KibaRanger and got Won Tiger, the only time the character has appeared was in the baseball episode, which was roughly 93% suit footage, and even then, it wasn't Kou's voice, but the voice actor for Byakko ShinKen, who speaks as Kou when he's Tenshin'd.

Where there a bunch of episodes aired out of order? Because not only does Kou never show up, he's not even mentioned at all.

Jin is badass, though.

Back in the 90s, additional warriors only appeared every once in a while. It wasn't until Dekaranger when the additional members started becoming actual permanent teammates.

Don't get used to KibaDaiOh or Won Tiger aswell... they only appear like 2 times. That is one thing I really disliked.

and now you know where Tommy always vanished to during battles in Season 2.

You know, come to think about it, I'd rather have a sixth hero show up 4 or 5 times and kick ass, than seeing him show up every episode and get his ass kicked... because that is basically what happens to most additional warriors these days.

Because DaiRanger knows how to not overkill the presence of the sixth ranger. You don't need the sixth ranger to appear in every episode. Plus, when you get to the later episodes, you'll see why Kou is not in every episode. No episodes are out of order, it is just Toei knew how to pace them properly back then. Just wait until you see ZyuRanger. Burai does not appear in several episodes even after his introduction arc finishes.

considering how annoying kid characters can be, I'm glad Toei didn't shove him in every episode. I like Kou and his story, and I suspect that his screen time (or lacok of) really helps this.

My big issue was how there wasn't any reference to his character at all for about four episodes. He lived with Rin. One would think his whereabouts would have come into play.

Yes, but they provided an explanation as to why he rarely showed up: if he was out of that room for too long, he'd die. In DaiRanger, it's like they just forgot about Kou.
