D: Japanese font.... destroyed!! Can't see nothing!!!!

Gah, so I did an entire system reboot of my computer recently.

Now, even when I installled the operating system before, I couldn't see Japanese text. However, I can't remember what I did, but I got Japanese, along with other East Asian fonts to work properly. I probably downloaded a file on the internet or something.

Anywho, since I just did a system reboot, I can no longer see the awesomeness of Japanese text. It tells me to insert my Windows XP disk, but given that it's bootleg, it doesn't include the language packs it should've.

So anyone wanna help a brotha out? How do I get these Japanese fonts to work?! :shakefist

You don't just need the Japanese fonts but you need to make sure you have Japanese enabled in your browser.

Yes, I am using Opera, and I have the "Japanese encoding" option enabled.

All I can say is to either buy a copy of xp or download a non-stripped down version. :/

yup yup. go to the control panel and click the "date, time, language, regional options." and it's pretty self-explanatory from there.

The next time you do a system reformat, remember to Google for the "MS Gothic" and "MS Mincho" fonts, the most common fonts used for Windows.

Why thank you Mikazuki! However, my brother just recently took several painful hours doing a brute force method, viewing what file was needed and drag it into my computer.

However, I'll make sure he doesn't take away my precious hours of my life doing that again. I'll be sure to use your rar the next time I have a system reboot. :thumbs:

And I'm pretty sure it'd help for other guys out there without the Japanese fonts. :anime:

It's a good idea, but it could also get us in legal **** if we're caught sharing software, regardless of if they're bootleg, hacked, or legit. It's probably better if we just avoid that particular hornet's nest.
