A lot of it is Anime-style humor, which you either love or hate, but the japanese love it.
Its not just KR that has begun to use it. Many new J-Dramas, talkshows etc. use the Anime-style effects and humor, som more than others.
Its simply a trend.
And I think its good that a show has some humor in it.
Imagine if Shin had gotten his own show. Would you have been able to sit through that kind of mood for 50 episodes?
Even a super serious show like Attack on Titan throws in humor from time to time.

I can sometimes watch shows that has anime comedy. Were there times that I got annoyed? .....Yes..... Like, a lot... For example, Avatar: The Last Airbender was a childhood favorite of mine. One of the things that kept it from being perfect is some of the over-the-top anime humor. This also applies to Kamen Rider and other tokusatsu. I kinda want a reason to actually watch something.

The most annoying humor I can recall is OOO with Maki reduced to a babbling mess every time that doll falls down, even if he was presented as completely serious right before that. Quite a whiplash.
