EPISODE 21 -- It was something like her dad was a scientist who created a contraption that sucked out people's life force, which the Monster Army wanted to become stronger. People were led to the location by...mechanical fireflies...? :laugh: A disappointing episode, IMO, except for Kita's jumping before Ryuusei to shout "IKARU!"
EPISODE 22 -- They mentioned a few episodes prior to this one why Metalder switched places; he figured that Neros knew where the lab was, so moved everything to a well-hidden cave.
The roller skating punks were a gang who were offered money by Kirihara's secretaries to kill Metalder; it was a good idea, since Metalder's programmed to not harm humans. The girl working with the gain was an illegal immigrant who came to Japan to search for her brother, who had gone missing after the boat he was on capsized (they were boat people, fleeing their country from war). She had no choice, as an immigrant, but to work for a gang, so she wasn't as bastardy as the others. Ryuusei heard her tale and decided to talk to the gang for her. The gang didn't really cry cheese until Ryuusei's speech, which basically was, "Without caring, the Neros Empire starts riots and wars for the sake of protecting its fortunes. She's the result of such a war and I know what she's feeling, because
I'm the result of a war."
EPISODE 23 -- Godneros was in joy that his fortunes had tripled, but let his warriors know that the power of money isn't the only thing needed to control the world, but they need to be in the best of strength, so he ordered them to train.
EPISODE 24 -- The villain of the week was a magician, out to personally "be rid of the black magic" of Tenko Hikita, a real-life magician. The guest star of the episode was Princess Tenko, the real-life apprentice of Tenko Hikita, and a magician in her own right. So it was just a big plug for her. :laugh:
EPISODE 27 -- The injured guy (Tokita) was training to be a member of Neros. He was telling them that he escaped once he learned his mother was ill, and he was being hunted down by Coolgin for execution. It turned out to be staged, which is why the one guy was pissed at the hospital scene (Kita was injured for no reason, when it was a trap). I believe it ended up being that Tokita's mother was being held hostage by Coolgin's forces and he had to go along with it.

You're right about Gavan and Sharivan/Spielban, but Shaider wasn't there. It was instead Spielban/Metalder suit actor Kazuyoshi Yamada, with appearances by Jun'ichi "Madgallen/Dyna Black/Goggle Black" Haruta as the bartender, Makoto "Diana" Sumikawa and Sumiko "Yellow Four #2" Tanaka -- all JAC members. Their little gang was even called "JACK."
How did Kita know The "Space Sheriffs"?
He used to be in their gang; he was a gang member before becoming a pro-racer.
EPISODE 27 -- They were lab animals that the empire was planning to grow into ferocious killers; the one that escaped was still kind. The capsules surgically planted in them grow and is what turns them ferocious; Ryuusei found that this gentle one the girl was playing with only had a couple of days before it turned killer. Ryuusei removed it by the episode's end, of course.
EPISODE 28 -- She was a jewel thief, the granddaughter of a man that used to work for the Kirihara Konzern. Kirihara was financed by the man's riches to start of his little Neros Empire. The man went missing once he found Kirihara's plans, becoming a collector of diamonds, but Kirihara tracked him down and had him and his entire family killed, selling all of his diamonds to fund the Empire. The jewel thief is knocking off places that feature the man's diamonds, so Neros figures it's a relative and wants her taken out, knowing there's only one diamond left and to use that as a chance to get her.
At what point in the series did the Staff know the series was being cancelled?
Most likely the early 30's. From then on, things become a bit rushed to wrap the story up.
MOVIE -- The armies had been wondering about Godneros's absence and he told them that he was ill and that whoever could finally be rid of Metalder would possibly be a successor to his throne.
The hand gestures...once Ryuusei saw the statue of Kannon, it booted up a mystical technique he had programmed into him that he began to practice.
