Choju Sentai Liveman Discussion

I was wondering if anyone has seen Liveman? I did. I saw the first episode and I thought it was cool. They've could have add some more scene how the Rangers get their power to become Liveman.

That episode was awesome. It was massive violence. Very massive!! That got me to watch more Liveman, darn it. It rocked.

I'm downloading Episode 2 right now and watch it tomorrow. I'm gonna download episode 3 and 4 tomorrow. w00t!

I hope to see the whole episodes. That rocks.

BTW, is anyone having problems with eps 2 and 16-17? I can't seem to get the tracker to work on them. I don't suppose anyone would care to post them via yousendit, or work out something via AIM?

But yeah, fun, fun series from what I've seen so far. Totally fitting for the 10th series.

I think its one of the good Sentai series. Besides, its stuck somewhere in 80s. You can't go wrong there. The Sentai senshi are great, unlike kids we see now. Another great point is that there's Yutaka Hirose. I know him as Wanda first before Kempu. So its quite a delight seeing him again. :169:

I only seen the first four episodes of Liveman...question...does Yuusuke use his "FALCON BREAK" finisher in Liveman...all I know is that he used that attack on the Bulldozer Aurg in G vs. SS

He starts using it in around episode 10 or so.

As for Liveman...it's my number three favorite sentai (after Change and Flash). I think it's a really cool set-up in having friends against (former) friends; not just a ragtag group of heroes strung together to fight demons or anything. They have an involvement with the villains, they have a reason to be the heroes.

Liveman used to be in my second spot, but I think the other two members (Bison and Rhino) detracts the bond from the original three, as the new villains (Butchy and Gildos), moronic in character and design, harm the cool appearance of the villains. I think the three original Liveman have such a cool chemistry that it's hard to squeeze in two new bland members and have it flow the same.

I will say that I think, in the later episodes, Liveman could have remembered their earlier episodes a tad more and have plots play off of them -- seemingly gone is the idea of avenging Takuji and Mari. One thing sadly missed was a subplot with Tetsuya and Jun'ichi trying to take justice in their hands (they only hint at it a tiny bit in one episode, but I felt more needed to be done there).

The mecha scenes might be boring in the sense that they're generic and not real memorable, but they're still short and sweet. Better to have your mecha scenes boring, but short rather than long and boring (see Hurricanger).

Liveman's mecha fights were the only thing that really got on my nerves (Yes, I didn't really mind Rhino and Bison squeezing in there. I actually think they executed the delivery quite well.) They seemed like they could have done without them. It wasn't the "Oh! A mecha fight!" Like I thought with something like Maskman or Flashman, it was "Oh...a mecha fight...."

Hurricanger's fights weren't all that bad, it was the fact that they didn't really fight half the time. It was more like "SUPER UBER MEGA COMBONATION TIME!! OMG!!" Either from that, the actual fights didn't really bore the hell out of me they were just average and nothing really special.

The hand-to-hand fighting in Liveman is ace though. It's just the robo fights that made me want to to skip the fight and see what happened next.

Liveman is weak in my opinion so is Flashman. I wouldnt buy either on video/dvd. as for Changeman, that better be released on DVD in the next couple of months to a year. I love the movies and episodes 1-7. I also finally got to see the rest of bioman, if you recall, I was having problems with. Progressive scan DVD players are handsome. Buy 'em, live it, learn it.

Episode 2 was great. Another awesome action scenes. The mecha battle was pretty short but ah well. I will watch Episode 3 later and right now, I'm downloading Episode 4. :D

I am so behind!.

Im new to this board. Liveman was one of my favorite shows when I was younger. I had no idea that they were available for download considering they were totally from the 80's. Ive searched everywhere for the torrents but the latest ones all seem to be unseeded!. If anyone has the series available i would Really appreciate watching them again.
