"Castlevania doesn't belong in 3D, and it sure as hell doesn't belong in movie theatres. But apparently nobody cares what I think. According to Variety, the film rights for Konami's vampire-slaying franchise have been snatched up by Paul W.S. Anderson of Resident Evil fame. According to the report, Paul and Crystal Sky president Benedict Carver will produce along with Anderson and Jeremy Bolt, who are partnered in Impact Pictures. The game will focus on the rise of the Belmont family, who stand up to destroy Dracula and in so doing save humanity. The movie will begin production in mid-2006. So who would you have play Simon? How about Dracula? Thanks to The Not for the heads up."

I've liked some of Paul Anderson's stuff... but I really wish they'd found someone else to do this movie.

**** me, hollywood is just plum out of ideas...they're starting to take this video game movie thing too far.

Basically if i wanted to get my movie made in hollywood it would either have to be and video game adaptation, a comic book adaptation, or a remake.
