Being an 80's fan, can I just say "Duh?" to all those modern-day choices of shows?

I better comparison is each decade's greatests. Like would you prefer Thundercats or Beast Wars?

Or G.I. Joe or Gargoyles?

Now, would you want Krypto the Superdog or the Get Along Gang?

Yeah, that's a little harder in the way of choices. the 90's has its gems, of course, but lately they've gotten fewer and far-between.

Thanks to that link, I was able to reconnect w/ a live action show that I freakin LOVED growing up. And not only did I find the name of the show, but that it's also on DVD and will now be in my collection!!

That was my favorite show as a kid!!!! :buttrock:

At the time I just couldn't wrap my mind around the lead actor dying. My thinking, "But...... I thought everything on TV was fake... how could someone fake.......................... die? Something isn't adding up..." :eyebrow:

Again, you're going back to the 90s, which is part of the problem. (Also, I disliked Beast Wars, so I would say Thundercats. Granted, you got me beat on the second two. )

I didn't make bad comparisons. My younger cousins love Cartoon Cartoons and Krypto. (Kong I admit was sort of one that I just pulled out of nowhere since I saw the marathon on this morning.) We all know that 80's had some bad cartoons, but most of them were short-lived and thus, easier ignored than Ed, Edd, and Eddy or Baby Looney Tunes, or the rest of the mindless drivel that serves little other purpose than to melt our brains.

I say again, 90's cartoons? Pure awesome-ness, though there were some screw-ups (Silver Surfer and Avengers, anyone?) now and again. Thing is, the screw-ups are becoming more frequent than the kick-ass shows.

Guess who's out on DVD!

I used to LIVE for this show back when it was on. I used to wish I was the kid and I had a compass I used to pretend was an omni. Cool thing was, you know how Sam would leap into some weird situation and have to improvise, well the Kid and Bogg would fall outta the sky with an "AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!" and land in whatever situation and fuckin' loved that ****!

I used to leap off my couch grasping my compass and "crash into another time" like the Voyagers.

Man..... they need to bring this out on DVD so I can see it was no where near as brilliant as I remember it. Cuz I remember it being brilliant.

We'll never know if little Jeffery Jones made it home.

Reading the stories info, it looks like Bogg was a pirate once upon a time and was recruited. I never got to see the pilot episode. I just figured that was how Official Voyagers dressed.

God that was a cool show.... so was Automan. I used to have arguments over who was faster... the car in this named "cursor" or KIT. Now... if you'll look at the car in this, it can clearly drive near the speed of friggin' light. I don't care if KIT's got his turbo boosters, he's not going to outrun Automan.

I too used to play Voyagers when I was little, even made my own Omni out of paper...complete w/ a globe in the middle and the red & green lights

And the show IS as good as I remember, because Sci-Fi had it on about a year or so ago, and I STILL loved it. Now Automan. I saw that show as a kid as well and remember loving it. And then I recently saw it on Sci-Fi and MY GOD was that show HORRIBLE!!! The acting was SOOOO freaking bad and the special effects were horrible too. DO NOT pay money for that show on DVD...yes it's THAT bad :laugh:
